Get in the Game

This project was for Intramural Sports at San Diego State University. “Get In the Game” was the decided tagline for the Fall 2012 semester. I was asked to design a series of posters, flyers, and web ads to promote the new campaign.

Although the project called for photography, poster designs, and newspaper ads, the first area of focus was the logotype. I was asked to design something clean and engaging—along the lines of the current Gatorade ads.

The word “Champ” in expressive typography to make it look like the shoelaces on a Converse Chuck Taylor. For the shirt aesthetics, an effort was made to convey a distressed and gritty look-and-feel.
